New “Apollo kino” cinema will boast an unprecedented level of comfort and quality

Alongside a string of fashion and lifestyle stores and a vast array of food vendors, the multifunctional shopping centre “Akropole”, currently being built in Riga and set to open in 2019, will also offer its customers an impressive entertainment zone, including the “Apollo kino” cinema with 9 screening rooms and the only IMAX screening room in Latvia.

Introducing new level of comfort and quality

The 9 screening rooms of “Apollo kino” cinema will have the total capacity of 1130 seats, out of which 200 will be the luxury “Apollo Love Seats” and “ApolloStar” seats. Visitors will be able to enjoy the movies in various types of comfortable seats made by the Italian manufacturer “Lino Sonego”. For example, the “Apollo Club” seats are anatomically designed, high quality seats with 125 cm distance between rows, making the sitting very comfortable for the cinema-goers. For those who like to go to the movies together and share a great seat, there will be the possibility to watch movies in the “Apollo Love Seats” that are custom designed for “Apollo” cinema and allow a very personal movie experience. Meanwhile a special concept of luxury auditorium with “ApolloStar” premium seats will provide the undeniably best cinema experience. With over 2 metres distance between the rows those premium dual seats with footrests will also feature personal tables and option of in-seat ordering with service from the bar.

For those who want to enjoy the great combination of movie-watching and dining, the two “O’Learys” “Apollo kino” Cinema Restaurant auditoriums will be a pleasant surprise. Cinema-goers will be able to enjoy waiter service and purchase drinks and food without having to stand up from their chairs. The comfortable chairs with adjustable back and foot rests feature tablet computers integrated into the chairs that enable to order a delicious meal and a drink from the restaurant menu. The waiter will bring the food and drinks directly to your table, allowing to combine enjoyable cinematic experience with a tasty meal.

In all screening rooms there will be Laser Projection screens that will deliver exceptional image quality with an outstanding 2D and 3D brightness, high contrast, uniformity, and superior colour performance. The auditoriums will feature the new Dolby ATMOS immersive sound systems that deliver a powerful and dramatic new cinema sound listening experience. Sound comes from all directions, including overhead, to fill the cinema with astonishing clarity, richness, detail, and depth.

In the IMAX screening room will create the most intense experience - there will be one of the first in the world IMAX new Laser 3D Projection system and Immersive Sound system where audio in auditorium is in full 3D.

About “Akropole”

The total area of the multifunctional shopping and entertainment centre “Akropole” will cover approximately 98,000 square metres. Of these, 90,000 square metres will be retail space, while about 10,000 will be allocated to office space. On two storeys of “Akropole” not only well-known fashion and lifestyle brands already loved by the customers will be represented, but also brand-new stores not yet seen in Latvia, alongside 20 cafés and restaurants, as well as a modern gym.
